For activists and politically inclined people, it offers a breath-taking view of the possibilities as well as vicissitudes of an area of healthcare not too easy for many to understand but quite easy to have a strong opinion nevertheless. For those who make a living out of it, however, it may be truly taking away their breath and snuffing out their oxygen supply.
