An Encode is a tool or process that transforms data from one format to another. A position-sensing tool known as an Encode can detect mechanical motion and convert it into an output signal with an analogue or digital code. More specifically, it determines position from which velocity, acceleration, and direction can be calculated in either a linear or rotary motion. Encodes' functionalities vary depending on their physical operating principles, outputs, communication protocols, etc. The opposite operation of a decoder is carried out by a combinational circuit known as an Encoder. It encodes the data from 2n inputs into an n-bit code because It can have up to 2n input lines and 'n' output lines.. The result will be the binary code equivalent of the active input, which is High. As a result, the Encode uses 'n' bits to encode two input lines.
