The study of materials at the atomic level is known as nanotechnology. Particles with a diameter of 1–100 nm are referred to as nanoparticles. Matter starts to behave like quantum mechanics at this scale. The behaviour of electrons inside of atoms, molecules, solids, and even organisms is described by quantum mechanics. Due to their distinctive size and form, nanoparticles can react differently from their macroscopic counterparts.
Fibers with a diameter of less than one micrometre are known as Nanofiber (one millionth of a meter). The most popular method for creating these nano fibers is electrospinning. By using electricity, electrospinning produces a jet of liquid polymer solution that is swiftly dragged over a collection plate. The electrical charge causes the liquid to freeze and form small fibres as the jet travels.
