The Electromagnetic Spectrum Is Gathered and Processed Via Hyperspectral Imaging
With hyperspectral imaging, the entire electromagnetic spectrum is collected and analysed.

With hyperspectral imaging, the entire electromagnetic spectrum is collected and analysed. To locate objects, identify materials, or detect processes, hyper spectral imaging aims to gather the spectrum for each pixel in a scene image. There are three different categories for spectral imagers. Band sequential scanners (spectral scanning) take shots of an area at various wavelengths, while push broom scanners and related whisk broom scanners (spatial scanning) read images over time. Snapshot hyper spectral imaging creates an image in a split second using a staring array.

Whereas the human eye perceives visible light colour in three bands (long wavelengths as red, medium wavelengths as green, and short wavelengths as blue), the spectrum is divided into many more bands using spectral imaging. Images can be divided into bands using this technique outside of the visible spectrum. The recorded spectra have a precise wavelength resolution and span a broad range of wavelengths in Hyperspectral Imaging. Instead of measuring dispersed spectral bands like multiband imaging does, hyper spectral imaging detects continuous spectral bands.
