Antibodies are irreversibly denatured by high temperatures, whereas a tamers can denature after exposure. Aptamers also have a far longer shelf life than antibodies and are stable under a variety of circumstances. A special advantage of using these features is the ability to choose a tamers in the circumstances in which they would ultimately be utilised. A further benefit of the in vitro procedure is that a tamers can be chosen for molecules that do not trigger an immunological response, which is crucial for the manufacture of antibodies. Aptamers  have disadvantages, though. A tamers are quickly broken down by nucleases and are hydrophilic due to their total negative charge. except for a tamers that have been changed, such Summers (Slow Off-rate Modified A tamers).
