Gelatin

Gelatin is a byproduct of the cooking of collagen. It is almost entirely composed of protein, and its distinct amino acid profile confers numerous health benefits. Collagen is the most abundant protein in both humans and animals. It can be found almost anywhere in the body, but it is most prevalent in the skin, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Gelatin is a protein that is produced by boiling skin, tendons, ligaments, and/or bones in water. It is typically derived from cows or pigs. Gelatin Market is used in shampoos, face masks, and other cosmetics; as a thickener for fruit gelatins and puddings (such as Jell-O); in candies, marshmallows, cakes, ice cream, and yoghurts; on photographic film; and in vitamins as a coating and capsules, as well as to help "clear" wines. Gelatin is not a vegan product. However, there is a vegan product called "agar agar," which is sometimes marketed as "gelatin." It comes from a type of seaweed.
