If you are using any Microsoft product or service, then it is a must to have an account at account.live.com.sign in. Account Live is a place where you can control and manage everything related to your OneDrive, Outlook, Microsoft Edge, Office, and other subscriptions. To do so, the only thing you have to do is to have an account.

If you have enabled the two-step authentication feature in your Microsoft account, then only you can follow this way of https://account.live.com/password/reset. To reset, visit the aforementioned link and provide either your registered email ID or phone number. Now, hit the Continue button, and Microsoft will immediately send you a password reset code.
Open a new tab in the web browser and log in to your email ID (the one you have provided for the password reset process). (In case, if you have provided a mobile number instead of email, then check your phone's SMS application to get the code) You will see an email from Microsoft; open it and copy the code. Now, go back to the tab where you were resetting the password. Paste the code and proceed by clicking the Continue or Next button. Enter a new password twice, and it's done!
Reset Account Live password via account.live.com/acsr
If you have also forgotten the password of the email address associated with your Microsoft account, then go to the account.live.com/acsr and enter your registered email address. After that, provide an alternate email address to get the password reset code. Retrieve the code, and use it for resetting your Account Live password.
