Tert-Butyl Acetate Is Miscible In Ethanol And Ether As Well As Soluble In Water
Acute exposure to Tertiary Butyl Acetate has been linked to a range of health effects. The lowest dose for human exposure has been measured at 0.4 mg/m3 after a 13-week study with rats. The tolerable exposure range for butyle acetate is 0.4 mg/m3, and the average exposure in homes and work sites is around 0.02 mg/m3. Its effects on olfaction have been studied in animals.

Tertiary Butyl Acetate (TBA) is an acrylate monomer that is a transparent, colourless liquid. TBA gives the polymers features such as hydrophobicity, chemical stability, hardness, scratch resistance, weather ability, hardness, and crosslinking. Because of the increasing use of butyl acetate, epoxy resin, and nitrocellulose based products in construction projects for their weather resistance features.Tert-butanol is tertiary alcohol.

To create high-selectivity isobutylene, Tertiary Butyl Acetate  is dehydrated using reactive distillation in the presence of a solid acid catalyst. It is one of the four isomers of butanol. It is an invisible substance. It is created commercially as a byproduct of the conversion of isobutane to propylene oxide. Tert-butanol, a nonpolar protic solvent, is frequently employed as an oxygenate, ethanol denaturant, gasoline octane enhancer, and component in paint removers. It is frequently used as a chemical intermediate in the creation of many different products.
