Unfortunately the teams of Szczesny and Juventus have entered a phase of decline. While they have been champions for the past nine consecutive years, they have finished outside the top three in the past two seasons. Despite his lackluster performances, Szczesny's rating has just been decreased by one point, meaning that for FIFA 23 his card is graded at 86.
There was a lot of speculation about Skriniar's next club in the summer, with Paris Saint Germain looking the most assured of luring the Slovakian for the French League. But the plan did not happen, and today Skriniar is trying to get back the top spot on the list.
"Wins to Watch" implies that If the team's player has three wins in their next eight domestic games (starting October 30) and they are awarded an additional one-time stat boost equivalent to a similar in-form. So if Man City win 3/8 games, Haaland gets another +1 over and above the in-form updates the player receives. (Lol 'if'.)
Nations to Watch means that any player with an Ones to Watch card whose country is involved within the World Cup will receive a single in-form upgrade in the event that the team they represent wins at the World Cup. It's been a tough time for Erling on this front, it seems, due to Norway's non-participation. ('Tough times for Erling' is not something we expect to write on many other occasions this year/decade/millennium.)
And, even better, Nations to Watch players don't even need to be chosen for their national team to receive the upgrade, so in the event that Gabriel Jesus somehow doesn't make the Brazilian squad and his countrymen score an upset in Qatar then the Arsenal striker still gets an additional +1.
In the end, it's worth noting there is a limitation to Ones to Watch players do not receive any upgrades based upon other promo cards. In other words, if Tyler Adams gets some sort of wild 90+ card in April in the new promotion called Factsmashers or something similar it is, his OTW is not upgraded to reflect the new promo.
