Potash Fertilizers Market
Potash, pronounced pot-ash, is a term that refers to potassium-containing salts that are used as fertilisers. The majority of potash comes from potassium chloride (KCl), commonly known as Muriate of Potash (MOP). Because it is a good source of soluble Potash Fertilizers, one of the three basic plant macronutrients along with nitrogen and phosphorus, potash (potassium chloride, KCl) is largely employed as an agricultural fertiliser. Where the pH is alkaline, adding potash to the soil is critical. Because potash fertiliser raises soil pH, it should not be used on acid-loving plants like hydrangea, azalea, and rhododendron. Excess potassium can harm plants that prefer acidic or neutral pH soils.
