The Varicella Test is a blood test that is usually used for two main purposes. First, it is used to determine whether a person has previously been exposed to varicella-zoster virus (VZV) through vaccination or previous infection and has developed immunity to the disease. Second, it is used to distinguish between active infection and previous infection.
