Instructions for the use of metering pumps
Whether the direction of the motor is consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the motor cover, the motor fan must rotate counterclockwise. The temperature of the motor should be lower than 70 degrees Celsius during normal operation; it must not exceed 3 minutes for tight and long-time empty driving.
The metering pump cannot exceed the rated pressure (larger working pressure). The rated pressure value is marked on the metering pump nameplate. The unit is bar (1bar = 1 kgf/square centimeter = 10 meters of water column). If the rated pressure is exceeded, the pump may be easily damaged.
When the chemicals to be added may react with water, such as concentrated sulfuric acid, drain the pump cavity before use (there is a small amount of water in the pump head at the factory); when the manual adjustment knob is below 100%, the pump The sound of the mechanism is louder, which is normal; however, it is recommended not to set the adjustment knob of the metering pump below 30% of the flow rate.
Make sure that the direction of the inlet and outlet pipes of the metering pump is installed correctly, the inlet end (inlet valve) of the pump is vertically downward, and the outlet end (outlet valve) is upward. The connection must not be reversed; the inlet/outlet valves cannot be interchanged, and any one of them is missing. The parts pump will not work properly.
The connection thread of the inlet/outlet valve and the pump head cannot be wound with raw material tape; make sure that the suction valve and the discharge valve are clean.
Whether the metering pump gearbox has enough lubricating oil and reaches the upper limit of the oil standard, the upper limit is the midline position of the observation window; ensure that the oil level is at the midline position of the observation window during normal operation; replace the lubricating oil (turbine worm oil) at least once a year .
The outlet pipe pressure must be higher than the outlet pipe pressure, otherwise siphon will occur.
It is recommended to install a safety valve and a pulsation damper, etc. Check whether the system connection, installation and support are correct and firm. Do not allow the weight of the pipeline to act on the pump. The installation direction of the stop valve, check valve, safety valve, and Y-type filter should be correct. The pulsation damper should be fixed with a support. After the metering pump pipeline is connected to the pump, the original alignment of the pump should be rechecked. When a deviation is found due to the pipeline connection, the pipeline should be adjusted.
Calibrate the flow rate of the metering pump. In actual use, it is normal that the actual flow rate is inconsistent with the nameplate flow rate due to changes in conditions. If the site requirements are relatively high, the metering pump can be calibrated by a small amount of the dosing tank per unit time at the entrance, and the calibration result will be recorded, and the percentage setting of the metering pump will be based on the calibration result during the formal operation.
Operation test: start the pump without load and check the voltage, current and the running status of the pump (including the metering pump motor speed, starting current, motor heating, leakage, and metering pump vibration and noise, etc.). If an abnormal situation occurs, it should be dealt with in time .
Carry out a load test under the rated load, observe the operation of the metering pump, observe and record the pressure, speed, noise and vibration, whether there is leakage, etc. If abnormal conditions are found, they should be dealt with in time.
