Believing in the power of active volunteers and the impact they make on communities, United Way India conducts multiple programs, drives to engage corporate volunteers and show them the good they can do for society’s betterment.
The organization believes that volunteering works two-ways. Not only do the communities get benefits but the volunteers also get an opportunity to unlearn and learn while exploring their true purpose. Take ‘Wash Kits Drive’ - through which ten thousand hygiene kits were packed and distributed all over the country. By using the recycled newspaper, this particular drive did not only manage to raise and spread awareness about personal hygiene but also further educated the volunteers themselves about the importance of reducing waste.
