LNG as a Bunker Fuel Market

When compared to conventional heavy fuel oil or LSFO used on ships, LNG fuel has distinct qualities. When opposed to conventional fuel oils, the technique for transferring the fuel into the ships requires a safer approach due to the cryogenic temperatures at which it can be kept and moved.

The technique of giving liquefied natural gas fuel to a ship for its own usage is known as LNG bunkering. To reduce air pollution from shipping, ship owners have turned to liquefied natural LNG as a Bunker Fuel, which emits much less pollutants and contains 30% less carbon than heavy fuel oil (HFO) (Heavy Fuel Oil).

The technique of giving liquefied natural gas fuel to a ship for its own usage is known as LNG bunkering. The primary benefit of LNG as a Bunker Fuel is the significant reduction in pollution created by previous ship fuelling methods such as heavy fuel oil, marine diesel fuel (MDO), and marine gas oil (MGO).
