Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) Market

A major development in the management of abdominal aortic aneurysms is endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) (AAA). By injecting graft components that have been folded and compressed inside of a delivery sheath via the lumen of an access channel, typically the common femoral artery, EVAR is carried out. In order to cut off the aortic aneurysm sac from aortic blood flow and pressure, the endograft expands upon deployment, contacting the aorta wall proximally and the iliac vessels distally.

Because Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) does not call for operational exposure of the aorta or aortic clamping, it is linked to a considerable decrease in perioperative mortality when compared to open AAA repair. The number of EVAR procedures performed each year has increased by 600 percent since endograft devices were approved for use in the US.
