The clown nose is a mask. As Pierre Byland famously said when he first introduced it as part of the Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq training. Clown's nose is the smallest mask in the world. Unlike other masks such as Commedia, neutral, or larval masks, which cover somehow, this one does the opposite.
