Unlike other countries, foreigners may only own 70% of a limited liability company in Oman. However, citizens of countries that enjoy free trade agreements with Oman may hold a higher percentage of the company. The minimum capital for an LLC is OMR 150,000, while the minimum capital for a 100% Omanis, GCC, or USA national is OMR 2 million. However, if your company is a financial company, the minimum capital requirement will be significantly higher.
