Types of Safari:

Elephant Safari

One of the most exciting and fun activities of Jim Corbett includes riding on the back of an elephant. With Elephant safari you can explore some of the core areas of the park which are otherwise inaccessible by jeeps or canters. It takes you close to the wilds with a promise of an eco-tour.

Zone:      Bijrani and Dhikala zone

Timings: 3 pm to 5 pm and 6 am to 8 am

Canter Safari

Canter is an 18-seater open roof vehicle that operates twice in a day only by forest officials with utmost safety. The exciting safari takes you to the popular wildlife sighting spots that lasts up to 5 hours. Canter Safari is the most ideal way to explore the wildlife of the park if you are visiting in a large group.

Zone:      Dhikala zone

Timings: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm (Winters)

              5:30 am to 6:00 pm (Summers)

Jeep Safari

Among all the three Safari options available in Jim Corbett, Jeep Safari is by far the most popular one. As jeeps are considerably smaller than canters, it takes you to some of the core areas and lets you spot the mighty tigers roaming in the open. The thrill and adventure is incomparable to any other activities available.

Zone:      Bijrani, Jhirna, Durga Devi and Dhikala

Timings: 7 am to 10 am and 2 pm to 5 pm (Winters)

                6 am to 9 am and 3 pm to 6 pm (Summers)

Bridge Slithering is one of the offbeat experiences that Jim Corbett offers where you have to slide from the Jhula bridge and into the Kosi river. This is one of the enthralling activities where you can feel your adrenaline pumping through your veins as you make your descent.
