Cloud Ecosystem - A Combined System | Intellipaat
A cloud ecosystem is a complicated network of interconnected parts that collaborate to make cloud services possible. An ecosystem in nature is made up of interrelated living and nonliving elements that cooperate. The cloud computing ecosystem includes clients, engineers, consultants, integrators, and partners in addition to hardware and software.
In a keynote speech at the Cloud Connect 2011 conference, Werner Vogels, CTO at Amazon, made the initial comparison between the cloud and an ecosystem. At the time, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS) were generally considered to be the three broad service areas in enterprise cloud computing (SaaS). According to Vogels, the cloud is much more complicated than previously thought, and any description of it must take into account the range of service providers which businesses rely on in order to use it.
