EHRs combined with modern health technologies, such as telemedicine and mobile health, are the focus of the today ’s healthcare integration scenario. The interoperability of health information systems is difficult despite several modern technology tools and platforms. The administrative, clinical, technical, and laboratory requirements of any healthcare utility cannot be identified by and fulfilled by a single health system. Additionally, it is problematic to integrate several healthcare stakeholders onto a single platform. There is a greater need for integration that promotes healthcare interoperability because the healthcare sector is very information-intensive and touches many different delivery points, including patient data, medical diagnosis, physician records, insurance, and payments.
