  2. DStv signal of over 68%.
  3. Electricity (source of power).
  4. DStv decoder.
  5. DStv remote, HDMI cables, an Av cable.

How to Manually Configure Your DSTV Decoder and Connect It to Your TV

1. Position your DStv decoder horizontally beneath your TV on a table or shelf.

2. Check the decoder’s rear for a tuner with the letters “LNB IN” or “RF IN” inscribed on it.

3. Join the white or black cable that extends from the decoder’s tuner at the back to the satellite dish that is put in your room.

4. Next, please connect your HDMI cable, which is a black cable in a box with what appear to be USB plugs on each end, if you are using a plasma or flat-screen TV.

5. Connect the Av cable, which has three pins on the ends with the colors red, white, and yellow, if you’re using an analog television.

6. Attach the HDMI/AV C cable’s other end to your television.

7. Secure the decoder’s powered cable at the back.

8. Turn on the electricity to your wall.

9. Your decoder will turn on, and you can then finish the setup.

10. Press the source button on your flat-panel or plasma TV remote and choose every HDMI option until the Dstv screen appears.

11. Press AV and switch on the analog TV remote to bring up the DStv screen.

12 After your Dstv has started, select either English or Portuguese as the language.

13. After that, select a satellite based on your nation. Most nations make use of IS20 or Eutelsat 36B.

14. As a result, choose 36B and carry on with the DStv decoder setup.

15. The LNB type should now be selected; it should be “Universal” for all DStv decoders other than Dstv Explora.

16. The LNB on the right side of your TV will appear to have changed blue once you choose Universal Ass.

17. This means you can scan your channels with a good signal.

18. Go ahead and scroll to scan, click “OK,” and then finish configuring your DStv installation.

19. Your decoder will start the scanning process, and TV and radio channels will start to appear.

20. Channel 100 will appear on your screen upon the completion of the scanning.
