Characteristics of roller granulator
Roller granulator is a dry granulation process which uses pressure to agglomerate solid materials. This is achieved by extruding the material by two counter rotating rollers, which are driven by eccentric sleeves or hydraulic systems. When the solid material is extruded, the air between the powder particles is removed first, so that the particles are rearranged to eliminate the gap between the materials.
Roller granulator gets rid of the limitations and disadvantages of disc granulator and drum granulator, and it is another choice of fertilizer manufacturers. The fertilizer production process is that the organic fertilizer materials are first crushed by a semi wet material grinder, then stirred and then directly granulated into a flat round shape with granulator machine for fertilizer. Roller granulator makes use of centrifugal force and high humidity characteristics of organic fertilizer to directly throw flat round particles into round balls. The size of round particles can be adjusted according to the cutter of flat film granulator. Due to the temperature produced during granulation by roller fertilizer granulator machine, the moisture content of the particles after crushing, stirring, granulation and rounding will be between 20% and 30%, which reduces the load of the dryer and lays a good foundation for the subsequent drying process.
