What causes Candidiasis of the skin?
Candidiasis is a fungus infection caused by the Candida yeast (a type of fungus). Candida albicans is the most prevalent Candida species that can cause infection in humans.

Candidiasis of the skin is caused by Candida infection of the skin. Candida fungi are found on the skin in microscopic amounts. However, when this form of fungus multiplies excessively, it can cause an illness. This could happen as a result of:

  • apparel that is tight in the summer

  • a lack of hygiene

  • Obesity is caused by infrequent undergarment changes.

  • Antibiotics are used to keep Candida under control by killing harmless microorganisms.

  • the use of corticosteroids or other immune-suppressing medicines

  • as a result of diabetes, pregnancy, or another medical condition, a compromised immune system

  • moist or wet skin that hasn't completely dried

Candida fungi thrive in warm, damp environments. As a result, the illness frequently affects places with folds of skin.
