U.S. Intravenous Immunoglobulin Market
IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin) is a therapy treatment for immunocompromised people. IVIG is an immunoglobulin (antibody) collection produced from the plasma of thousands of healthy volunteers.
U.S. Intravenous Immunoglobulin are proteins produced by healthy people's immune systems to help them fight infections. Despite the fact that IVIG is made from plasma (a blood product), the chance of developing a blood-borne infection is exceedingly minimal.
IVIG is given as an intravenous infusion that takes many hours to complete (through a vein in the arm). Infusions are given at different intervals based on the patient's needs.
