Dhanaulti is quick rising like a jewel among the major travel destinations in Uttarakhand. It is on Mussoorie – Chamba road, at an altitude of 2,250 m.

This place is away from the busy crowds, occupied commercial centres, irritating traffic and pollution. Set in the midst of a thick virgin forest of Deodars, Oaks and Rhododendrons, it is a perfect location that ensures supreme peacefulness and soul. The green meadows, transcending trees, stunning breathtaking views of the Himalayan highpoints, which make this place a tempting hideaway for tourists for a perfect weekend trip.

Dhanaulti is the base point for various treks into the snow-capped Himalayas, particularly to the Tehri region of Garhwal. The most popular treks are through the dense alpine forest that takes you to Surkanda Devi, Chandrabadni and Kunjapuri, the holy sacred three Shaktipeeths of the holy Devi Darshan triangle.

There are two Eco-park in Dhanaulti. The Eco Park is newly developed and is located at the main market. The parks are located at around 200m apart and named as Amber And Dhara. If you are a nature lover you’ll love the lush green and dense deodar trees forest.

Surkanda Devi temple is a famous shrine located 40 km from Mussoorie and 24 km from Chamba town. This temple is famous for its architectural structure and the top scenic view it offers.
