It is better to avoid taking Lortab if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, i.e., acetaminophen or hydrocodone. Also, make sure not to take Lortab If you have recently used alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, or other narcotic medications.
Make sure to tell your doctor if you have any of the following conditions to ensure Lortab is safe for you:
a history of alcoholism or substance abuse
if your blood pressure is low or you are dehydrated
breathing problems such as asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, or other breathing disorders
kidney disease
diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, bowel obstruction, or severe constipation
liver disease, cirrhosis
if you use sedatives like Valium (diazepam, alprazolam, lorazepam, Ativan, Klonopin, Restoril, Tranxene, Versed, Xanax, etc.)
a history of stroke, brain tumor, or head injury
