Aker Solutions Doosan and Siemens formed a cooperation in August 2021 with the intention of working on carbon capture, storage, and utilisation projects in the UK. Additionally, in January 2021, Hitachi Zosen and Aker Carbon Capture signed an agreement to collaborate on approaches to advance carbon capture in the form of energy waste in Carbon Capture and Storage Market European industry.
Aker Solution signed a contract in December 2020 for engineering, management, and procurement support to understand the carbon dioxide capture plant at Norcem's cement production in Norway and Brevik. It is anticipated that the carbon plant will be able to capture and store 400,000 mt of carbon dioxide annually.
