And now technology can help in driving that happiness by creating art and abstract witticisms via algorithms and neural networks. AI can take images and enhance them, to some even that is art. But, AI in art is when coders design algorithms that enable machines to learn aesthetics and generate new images adhering to the specifics learnt.
If you keep up with art and technology, you may know about this humanoid artificial intelligence robot that can create self-portraits. She’s called Ai-Da, named after Ada Lovelace, the first female computer programmer. Ai-Da has cameras on her eyes that she uses to look into the mirror and create portraits of herself with the help of algorithms that transform the image into coordinates. A virtual route is calculated by the hand of this artistic robot to interpret the coordinates and create the work of art.
Lucy Seal, the art curator commented that the self-portraits are meant to be a critique of our current reliance on data-driven technology. “We live in a culture of selfies, but we are giving our data to the tech giants, who use it to predict our behavior. Through technology, we outsource our own decisions. ”
