Hormonal contraceptives are birth control treatments that work by influencing the endocrine system. These approaches involve using hormones that women naturally generate, such as oestrogen and progesterone, to limit ovulation and, hence, conception. They do not, however, protect against HIV or other sexually transmitted illnesses. On the market, there are two forms of hormonal contraceptives: progestin-only contraceptives and combination hormonal contraceptives. Hormonal contraception prevents undesired pregnancy by acting on the endocrine system.
To inhibit ovulation and avoid conception, synthetic versions of naturally occurring hormones such as progestin and oestrogen are employed. These birth control treatments also alter the uterine environment, making it unsuitable for fertilization. They are available in a variety of forms such as patches, pills, injections, and rings, which are safe and reliable forms of Hormonal Contraceptives to prevent pregnancy.
