The majority of "salt substitutes" are made of potassium chloride, which tastes similar to sodium chloride. In fact, many people find the flavours to be similar enough that switching is simple. If the taste of potassium chloride bothers you, there are "lite" s substitutes available. They are frequently labelled "low sodium," and they contain a combination of sodium chloride and potassium chloride. These s substitutes have a saltier flavour but less sodium chloride than regular table salt. However, keep in mind that these lite salt replacements do contain some sodium chloride, so take it slowly.
If you can't or don't want to use Salt Substitutes, you can flavour foods with herbs and spices. There are numerous salt-free blends available to take your test beds to the next level. You can buy them already made or create your own. Herbs such as rosemary, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, cilantro, sage, and celery seed can be used. A squeeze of lemon or lime on some foods can add that extra zing without adding extra sodium.
