Wood Plastic Composite are Composite Materials Composed of Wood Fibre and Plastic
Wood-plastic composites (WPCs) are materials that combine wood fibre.

Wood-plastic composites (WPCs) are materials that combine wood fibre or wood flour with a thermoplastic, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), or polylactic acid (PLA).

Wood Plastic Composite may also include various ligno-cellulosic and/or inorganic filler elements in addition to wood fibre and plastic. WPCs are a subset of a larger class of materials known as natural fibre plastic composites (NFPCs), which are made from fibres other than cellulose, such as pulp fibres, peanut hulls, coffee husks, bamboo, straw, digestate, etc. With the exception of any added mineral fillers and colours, chemical additives in the composite structure appear to be almost "invisible." They enable integration of wood flour (powder) and polymer while promoting ideal processing conditions.
