Signing out of gmailon the Web

If you're using a shared computer, remember to log out of your Gmail or Google account when you've finished using it. You cannot sign out of your Gmail account just by closing the tab.

Open the Gmail website in the browser where you logged in to sign out of Gmail on the web. After that, select the "Sign Out" button from the Google Profile symbol in the top-right corner of the window.

(If you have multiple accounts open, this option will say "Sign out of All Accounts.") Because there is no way to log out of several accounts selectively from this page, you'll need to sign out of all of them.)

You'll be logged out of your browser in an instant.

Your email address (but not your password) will be remembered by the browser to enable you log in quickly. If you care about your privacy, you should delete your account from the browser completely.

Select "Remove an Account" from the "Choose an Account" drop-down menu.

After that, next to the account, click the red delete icon (a minus sign in a circle).

To confirm, select "Yes, Remove" from the pop-up menu.

To confirm, select the option "Yes, Remove" from the dialogue.

The browser will delete your account completely.
