The University of Amsterdam consistently ranks among Europe's greatest universities, with over 150 English-taught degree programmes, some of which are unique to the university. 

The university has four campuses with 38,940 undergraduate and graduate students, 3,000 doctoral students, and 6,000 employees. The University of Amsterdam's main campus is at the centre of a network of scientific universities, university partners, and public and commercial institutions in the Netherlands.

 

With a 4.3 percent acceptance rate for international candidates, admission to the University of Amsterdam is challenging. However, in the last five years, the recorded admission rate for prominent disciplines such as sociology, psychology, medicine, computer science, and information systems has been 10%.

Furthermore, a degree program's fee is determined based on the applicant's nationality. Whether an applicant will study full-time or part-time determines the statutory fee.

University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands requires students to maintain a minimum grade point average(GPA) of 3.2(80%) in order to be considered for admission. International students with a solid academic background, expertise, desire, and a great interest in the program of study are eligible for a number of scholarships offered by the University of Amsterdam. Some scholarships cover the entire tuition charge, while others only cover a portion of it. Nobel Laureates and five Dutch prime ministers are among the university's alumni.

On a regular basis, internships, work while studying in the Netherlands, and full-time jobs are advertised. Students can continue to access the employment portal for another two years after graduation.
