For those who meet the requirements, an SSB interview will be organised, followed by higher level exams. For the purpose of final selection, it will be necessary for all qualified candidates to present in the SSB Interview phase.

The candidates' final selection will be based on their performance in the examination and SSB Interview. On the day specified in the call letter for the interview, candidates must report for the SSB rounds.

SSB Interview Process

SSB Interview is a Two Stage Process. Only those candidates who pass Stage I are allowed to appear for Stage II. The entire process is described below:

Stage 1: The Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and the Picture Perception & Description Test comprise this stage (PP & DT). It is a screening test in Stage 1. Candidates will be narrowed down based on their overall performance in the OIR Test and the PP & DT.

Stage 2: This stage lasts for four (4) days. Group testing officer tasks (GTO tasks), interviews, and conferences make up Stage second.

Selection Process

Selection process are their in five Days process

Candidates must show up at the selection facility on the day 0. Original and photocopied documents submitted by the candidate will be verified. Personal Information Questionnaire (PIQ) Forms will be filled out following the document verification.

PIQ Form: This form is filled by candidates. Candidate fill to their personal details like Educational details, co-curricular, Extra Curricular, family details etc. this is very Important form. It serves as a starting point for questions that may be asked of a candidate during the individual interview stage. The Board's psychologist will examine the responses.

Day 1: The Stage first test will take place the following day. Candidates must take a picture perception test as well as a verbal and nonverbal intelligence test. In the PP exam, a slide—clear or hazy is displayed for 30 seconds while the candidates must construct a narrative. This test is followed by a round of group discussion. Picture Perception and Discussion Test is the name given to this series of steps.

Intelligence Test: It includes both verbal and non-verbal questions for the intelligence test. There are multiple choice questions in the written test. Each question will have a 30-second answer period.

Picture Perception & discussion Test: Writing stories and group discussion are both part of the Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP & DT). The candidates will be shown an image for 30 seconds, after which they will have three minutes to compose a tale based on the photograph.

 

Day 2: It is a series of written exams that a psychologist organised. Candidates' psychological aptitude to serve as officers will be evaluated through these exams. These tests are follows:

Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): The authoring of a picture story is referred to as the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). The PPDT and this test are quite similar. About 11 photos will be displayed throughout this test. Each image will only be shown for 30 seconds before the contenders have 4 minutes to come up with a tale based on it. The next image will be shown after 4 minutes, and the process will continue until the final slide. A candidate will have a blank slide on which to write any story of their choosing on the twelfth slide.

WAT: The second psychological test in the SSB screening process is the Word Association Test (WAT). In this exam, 60 words will be displayed consecutively for 50 seconds. Candidates are required to write the first idea that enters their minds when they hear those words.

SRT: Candidates will receive a booklet with 60 circumstances printed on it for the Situation Reaction Test (SRT). Candidates are required to compose their solutions in light of those 60 scenarios.

Self-Description Test (SD): In this exam, students are asked to write their opinions about their parents, friends, teachers, and other people. There will be a 15-minute time limit.

 

Day 3 & Day 4: These Tests combine both mental and physical work activity through interactive indoor and outdoor activities. These are follows:

·       Group Discussion (GD).

·       Group Planning Exercise.

·       Progressive Group Task.

·       Half Group Task.

·       Individual Obstacles.

·       Group Obstacles Race Or Snake Race.

·       Command Task.

·       Lecturette.

·       Final Group Task.

 

Day 5: Day five is a Last day for all Candidates and all SSB bord members. SSB Board members and candidate are sit together members are ask to General Questions to candidates. conferences are just to decided whether you recommend as an officer in Indian defense forces or not. The full Board of Examiner which consist of the President, Deputy President, all of the GTOs, all of the psychologists, and the Technical Officer is where candidates must appear.

After the board meeting is over, the SSB result will be announced in an hour. Selected individuals go through additional medical testing for three to five days. The final merit list will be revealed following the medical examination of qualified candidates.
