Introduction
The CD4060BMT counter comprises an oscillator section as well as 14 counter stages with ripples. The oscillator configuration permits the design using either RC as well as Crystal oscillator circuits. RESET input is included that resets the counter back to all-O's condition and also disables the oscillator. A high value of the RESET line triggers its reset purpose. Counter stages are master-slave flip-flops. The counter's state is advanced by one step in binary order based on the negative shift (O). All outputs and inputs are completely buffered. Schmitt trigger on the in-pulse lines allows infinite input-pulse rise and fall time. The CD4060BMT counter is general use and is suitable for control counters, timers, frequency dividers, and as well as time-delay circuits.
