Zipline and Kisumu County collaborate to improve health services
Zipline, the global leader in instant logistics, and Kisumu County, a member of the Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB), signed an agreement today to use Zipline's industry-leading warehousing facility and autonomous aircraft technology to store and deliver COVID-19 vaccines, blood products, and other medical commodities to Kisumu County health facilities.
The agreement calls for the establishment and operation of a Zipline distribution hub in Kisumu County, which will serve as the base of operations for the Zipline uncrewed aerial system (UAS) and Zipline services, which will be capable of serving health projects and facilities in 16 counties across western Kenya.
