Illyrian Pirates Illyrian pirates roamed the oceans around the exact same period as the Cilicia. These folks had been a spine in the Roman Empire's side, plus raised havoc upwards plus down the Roman provinces. There reason for piracy was not to treasure hunt, however, rather to cause political instability to areas plus ideally force the overthrow of the oppressive Roman Empire. Unfortunately for the Illyrian pirates, Rome eventually sacked Illyria plus ended the threat of the Illyrian pirates.Abracadabra!!
