The world's shortest Domestic Aviation connects the Indonesian cities of Kegata and Apowo in the province of Papua. The flight is 1.3 miles (2 kilometres) long and takes about 1.5 minutes. In a remote part of Indonesia, a wooded valley divides the Papuan hilltop communities of Apowo and Kegata. Traveling from one town to the next is a never-ending difficult trip through the dense forest and steep slope. The majority of passengers on that journey are paying customers, making it one of the shortest commercial flights in the world.
