Biological Safety Cabinets Market

Biological safety Cabinets are enclosed workspaces with a ventilated hood designed to keep pathogenic microorganisms at bay during microbiological processes. The primary purpose of biosafety cabinets is to protect laboratory personnel and the environment from pathogenic microorganisms that may be released as aerosols during the processing of such microorganisms. Biosafety cabinets are only used for specific risk group organisms and processes that may result in the formation of aerosols. HEPA filters are installed in cabinets to clean the air that exits the cabinet. Because both of these pieces of equipment function as enclosed workspaces, biosafety cabinets and laminar hoods may be confused. However, a laminar hood only protects the sample and not the personnel or the environment, whereas biosafety cabinets protect all three.
