Zanskar Valley the remotest of the Himalayan valleys, this 300km valley is locked between the Great Himalayan Range and the Zanskar Range. Access to the valley can be gained only by crossing the high passes or walking the frozen river in the winters. It’s one of the world’s highest inhabited regions. Sand dunes in the high valleys and Bactrian camels (double-humped) are the chief attractions.
