Charter email settings for Outlook : Here we show you how to configure Charter Email for Outlook 2016; Email server details are also mentioned so you need to see them.
Most versions of Outlook offer an automatic setup, but if it doesn’t work, you’ll need to set up your account manually.
No matter what the type of setup, you’ll need your Spectrum email address and password.
Automatic Configuration
To add your Spectrum email account automatically:
- Open Outlook.
- Select the File tab.
- In the Info category, select Account Settings > Account Settings from the drop-down list.
- Select the Email tab.
- Select New.
- In the Email Account section under Auto Account Setup:
- In the Your Name box, enter your full name.
- Enter your Spectrum Email Address.
- Enter your Spectrum email Password.
- Enter the password again in the Retype Password box.
- If you want Outlook to automatically enter your email password, select Save this password in your password list.
- Select Next to begin the Auto Account Setup process. If your account is configured successfully, a confirmation message is displayed when the process is complete.
Note: If the automatic configuration fails, a second attempt is made. If this also fails, you must configure your account manually.
- Select Finish > Close.
Manual Configuration
To add your Spectrum email account manually:
- Open Outlook.
- Select the File tab.
- In the Info category, select Account Settings > Account Settings in the drop-down list.
- Select the Email tab.
- Select New.
- Select Manual setup or additional server types, and then select Next.
- Select IMAP, and then select Next.
- Under User Information:
- In the Your Name box, enter your full name.
- Enter your Spectrum Email Address.
- The information under Server Information varies based on your domain (@example.com). Find your server information.
- Under Logon Information:
- In the User Name text box, enter your full email address.
- Enter your email Password.
- If you want Outlook to remember your email account password, select the Remember password check box.
- Select the Require logon by using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box.
- Select Test Account Settings. When you do so:
- The connectivity of the system to the Internet is confirmed.
- You are logged on to the servers.
- A test message is sent. This message explains any changes that Outlook made to the initial setup.
- Select Next, and then select Finish.
Outlook 2010 Automatic Configuration
To add your Spectrum email account automatically:
- Open Outlook.
- Select the File tab.
- Choose Info.
- Select Add Account. The Add New Account wizard opens.
- Enter Your Name as you want it to be displayed when sending an email.
- Enter your complete Spectrum E-Mail Address.
- Enter your Spectrum email Password.
- Reenter your email password to confirm.
- Select Next. The configuration process is initiated.
- Select Finish to complete account setup.
Manual Configuration :- To add your Spectrum email account manually:
- Open Outlook.
- Select the File tab.
- Choose Info.
- Select Add Account. The Add New Account wizard opens.
- Select Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
- Select Next. The Choose Service page opens, with Internet E-Mail selected by default.
- Select Next.
- Under User Information:
- In the Your Name box, enter your full name.
- Enter your Spectrum Email Address.
- The information under Server Information varies based on your domain (@example.com). Find your server information.
- Under Logon Information:
- In the User Name text box, enter your full email address.
- Enter your email Password.
