The AI reacts to everything in a way that is more realistic by analyzing things like screens or cutting into the basket while away from the ball. Dribbling has also been improved so guys like Kyrie Irving experience a different level of control than the average ball player. In addition, the new shot meter actually works really well.

NBA 2K23 offers a direction correction for the series with new gameplay features, more immersion in MyCareer with new Seasons and more. After a disappointing launch last year, NBA 2K is back with a more robust version with NBA 2K23.
2K23 shines the most on the court which is the primary element, but it is a victim of excessively bloated hubs in its most popular mode of MyCareer. The W also feels like less of an option than the full-blown mode, at least with both the game's graphics and gameplay improvement.
It's still a blast to play. Thankfully, there are many activities for fans to enjoy in MyCareer, MyTeam 2K MT, and the extensive League along with GM modes to make up for issues with The City on current-gen consoles and The Neighborhood on last-gen.
