Sunday, Congress leader Manish Tiwari claimed there was a proposal to increase Lok Sabha’s strength to 1000 and sought the public’s opinion before implementation. His remarks come amid the Central Vista construction project.
In his tweet, Tewari stated that he was reliably informed by Parliamentary colleagues of BJP that there is a proposal to increase Lok Sabha strength to 1000 before 2024. He stated that as the New Parliament Chamber being constructed has a capacity of 1000, there should be public consultation.
