Windows 10 allows you to use a mouse straight out of the box. The mouse will work regardless of whether you are still at the initial setup screen, where Windows 10 asks for permissions to set up Cortana and choose a layout.
Follow these steps to verify that your mouse works correctly. Move your cursor in front the smiley, and then press the (left). Now, hold down the button and switch to the right smiley. If the button doesn't work, you can clean your mouse inside. www.office.com/setup key
