Unfortunately, one of the game's Lost Ark Gold most irritating flaws is that subclasses can be restricted by gender. You can only play male Scrappers however, to be Wardancer, you must play as a female. This is a ridiculous system and definitely a source of frustration, but it doesn't affect the overall Lost Ark experience.
Good design in a classroom is a flawed alchemy. Every class is made up of a variety of systems and ideas, which are woven together to produce something that's still fun for players 100 or more hours into the game. Smilegate is able to find these systems everywhere, starting with the basics of the game. The majority of classes have eight distinct abilities at any one time from a selection of nearly 20. Although some builds are better than others, each one works in ways that enhance and complement each other, whether it's by buffing them directly or making cooldowns flow more smoothly. Lost Ark also offers dozens of ways to augment the capabilities of the game, from Engravings and Runes to Tripods and Runes.
It's a staggering amount of choices buy Lost Ark Gold and I do not fully grasp all of the nuances even after over 100 hours. However, that's precisely what I'm looking for in an MMO. It's a level of precision that makes me feel as if I am in charge of the particulars of my classes, which allows me to alter and tweak to create the best setup for each battle -- even if it will take me a while to fully grasp it all.
