The summary is one of the most neglected writing actions, Bohart best books states, since "no one likes to do the prep work and everyone loves to compose." If an author has not done the prep work his or her book might fail. While Bohart admits the old-fashioned outline is simple to understand, he thinks the visual technique is much better.
