Tired of that dark wall? Refresh it with a brushstroke or two!

1. Dry-brush technique on the wall. Clean the raw bricks thoroughly with sugar soap (use a brush if necessary). Afterwards, rinse the walls well with clean water and let them dry. Then dip a 75mm Hamilton’s Fibre paintbrush in Lebo’s Light – use sparingly and remove any excess paint on a piece of clean mutton cloth. Apply the chalk paint from left to right until the entire wall is covered. Repeat with Cloud White. No sealant is needed.

2. Ladder. Paint the pine ladder with two coats of Tjhoko Paint Matt Black.

3. Fireplace. Clean the raw bricks well with sugar soap (see point 1 above) and let the wall dry. Then use a 75mm Hamilton’s Fibre paintbrush and paint the entire wall with three coats of Tjhoko Inspired Wall Colours in Cloud White. No sealant is needed.

This project comes from Tjhoko Paint’s new TV series, Plan van Aksie, on VIA (DStv channel 147). Catch Plan van Aksie on Thursday 13 October at 17:30, with repeats on Sundays at 16:00 and Mondays at 19:00.
