A water pump is a device that moves water by mechanical action. The water pump is perhaps the most important cooling component in a heating and irrigation equipment. This device regulates the flow of water, which is required for a wide variety of everyday activities. It is therefore important to have this piece of equipment in top condition at all times. Proper maintenance of your irrigation equipment will ensure that it functions properly for many years to come.
The water pump is made up of three main components: the compressor, condenser, and the refrigeration unit. The compressor is responsible for converting the pump energy into mechanical energy, which is then used to power the various pumps and equipment. The compressor typically has an intake manifold, which allows hot air to be drawn in before the compressed air is released; a discharge manifold, which direct the cooled air back into the system for reuse; and a valve, which allow the mechanical energy created by the process of compression to be reversed. This action produces heat, which is used to preheat the refrigeration unit. All three of these components work together to ensure that the pump and its components are keeping under optimum conditions to ensure optimum performance.
In February 2021, Grundfos, a major player in Thailand water pump market, launched the new CR 185 vertical multistage inline pump. The CR range delivers up to 1,275 gpm and 1,230 feet of head. The CR 185 is ideal for high-flow water supply, water transfer and water treatment applications.
Similarly, in 2019, Sulzer, another major player in Thailand water pump market, launched XJ 900 series of submersible drainage pumps equipped with electric motor rated 90 kW for 50 Hz markets and 108 kW (145 hp) for 60 Hz markets.
In September 2020, KSB Group presented its new UPA S 200 submersible borehole pump at IFAT trade fair. This type series is designed for water supply, irrigation and groundwater management and pressure boosting applications in the Thailand water pump market.
Major players in the Thailand water pump market are also focused on adopting M&A strategies. In February 2021, Sulzer completed its acquisition of Nordic Water, a supplier of water treatment technology, with a transaction of around US$ 136 million.
