Massive sea-based constructions known as offshore drilling rigs are used to collect gas and oil from the ocean floor. These platforms must be built with large machinery because of their size. Once finished, they are hauled to their final drilling site to generate oil and gas.
These platforms are constructed and run by Offshore Drilling Rigs workers. In addition to living in camps close to offshore rigs, workers are hired to work on them. A lot of employees decide to leave the camps and find apartments in surrounding cities. A building constructed offshore that supports the wellhead and connects it to the production platform is known as an oil rig. A floating structure on the water's surface is known as an oil rig. The drill pipe is lowered into the good hole by a crane.
