Since the LEDs in a micro LED may be individually regulated and create light, they are much simpler than LCD displays. As a result, displays have a significantly greater image quality (contrast, response time), and because there are no filters like in LCDs, they are also more efficient. Micro LEDs may be made flexible, unlike LCDs.
Small subpixels constructed of organic emissive materials are used in OLEDs. Similar to conventional LEDs, micro LEDs have an inorganic LED structure. Micro-LED have the potential to outperform OLEDs in terms of efficiency, brightness, longevity, and colour spectrum. Since micro LEDs are based on well-known LED devices, they may be a technology that is relatively simple to scale up.
